Drama

PETALING JAYA: Three robbers must be cursing their luck after their robbery attempt at a cellphone shop in Puchong on Wednesday turned into a comedy of errors. Not only were the three robbers assaulted and caught, but to their dismay, they found that the cellphones which they had taken from the shop were all dummies. The drama began at 7pm when one of the men walked into the shop at Taman Kinrara 1 on the pretext of having his cellphone repaired. While the owner was looking at the cellphone, the robber pulled out a parang.Seeing the parang, the owner bolted from the shop. The robber immediately grabbed several cellphones from the display cabinet but as he was running out of the shop, the owner returned with a baseball bat.He swung the bat at the robber, catching him on the head. The robber’s accomplice came to his aid and the owner bolted again. The two robbers then ran to a motorcycle where a third accomplice was waiting. The three of them then tried to escape on the motorcycle but the victim reappeared with the bat. One of the robbers slashed him with the parang. In the melee, the rider lost control of his machine, which crashed. Passers-by immediately pounced on the suspects.Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhd Fuad Talib said they seized a knife, a parang and several dummy cellphones from the suspects.

Sexual Healing??

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman had sex 51 times with a medium, paid between RM20 and RM50 per session — all in the name of healing. The medium had allegedly told her that her financial and domestic problems stemmed from the fact that she was possessed and that he could rid her of the evil spirits by having sex with her.The 41-year-old housewife believed him and resorted to having sex with the 52-year-old medium once a week for the past seven months. The "treatment", however, ended abruptly last week when the woman’s husband, a construction worker, found contraceptives in the bedroom and confronted his wife. By that time, the medium, who called himself "The Ninth Emperor of the Kingdom of God", had gone missing. When they contacted him on his cell phone, he warned them that he would cast a spell if they bothered him.The couple and their only child, a three-year-old girl, were at the MCA public services and complaints department yesterday to warn the public on dangers of resorting to mediums. Department head Datuk Michael Chong said stories of mediums preying on women were nothing new to his department. "I have received at least five similar complaints in the past year," Chong said."In two cases, the husbands claimed they understood their partner’s plight and promised to stand by them. But within days, both men left, accusing their partners of being unfaithful."Chong believed there were many more victims who were ashamed to lodge reports. He advised them not to suffer in silence but to seek help.In the latest case, the couple have yet to lodge a police report. The woman said the humiliation was too much for her and she simply wanted to warn others.Recounting her seven-month ordeal, the woman said she confided in a friend about her financial and domestic problems, who then introduced the medium to her.The medium allegedly visited her home in Cheras and told her that she and her house were possessed and a week after "consultation", he came up with the sex therapy. After each session, she allegedly paid him between RM20 and RM50. Three months ago, he persuaded her to shift into another house within the same area, alleging that the spirits in her home were too powerful. The woman obliged and even allowed the medium to stay with her.

Porn as Punishment; Good thing or bad thing???

MUAR: Newspaper reports that a teacher had ordered 10 Form One students to watch a pornographic movie for failing to do their homework has the Education Minister enraged. Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has ordered an investigation into complaints by several parents here that their children were forced to watch a pornographic video on Friday at 4pm in the audio-visual room of Sekolah Menengah Jalan Junid.
A Chinese daily had reported that the teacher ordered the students of both sexes into the room, closed the curtains and told them to watch the movie, saying it was their punishment for not doing their homework." I will order the Johor education director to investigate. We will take stern action if the complaint is true," he said after opening the Maulidur Rasul celebrations organised by the Johor Umno Youth yesterday.
He said there was no room in the education service for teachers who resorted to such immoral forms of punishment. "We condemn such actions."Hishammuddin said his ministry had set up several committees to look into indiscipline among students and teachers."If there is concrete evidence of misconduct, we will not hesitate to mete out the appropriate punishment, including the sack."Hishammuddin said most teachers were dedicated and were doing a great job in shaping the minds of students."I have no problem with most of the teachers. But my ministry has identified some black sheep and are dealing with them accordingly," The principal of the school declined to comment on the incident.
